Keith Neubert has worked in front of the camera as talent for most major film studios and television networks, and behind it as an award-winning director, writer, producer and content creator.
As an accomplished producer, content creator and media executive, Keith developed and negotiated a ground-breaking deal with China to become the first US media company to produce an internationally distributed series (National Geographic International/Velocity US) with a Chinese company (OMICM-CCTV). The 13-episode Expedition China series showcases unprecedented access while chronicling his epic quest through the Land of the Dragon in search of the true meaning of Shangri la. Expedition China: Search for Shangri la won a coveted Golden Panda Award at the prestigious Sichuan International Film Festival and continues to captivate an international audience via National Geographic International. Keith serves as Producer-Director-Talent on the series as well.
As founder and CEO of Breakwater Entertainment in 2001 Keith’s passion for storytelling, intrigue and adventure continues to lead him to the far corners of the world on a global quest to uncover extraordinary stories, as seen on National Geographic International, Discovery, Velocity, HDNet, AXSTV, WB, CBS and others.
Breakwater is currently producing another ambitious project in war torn Afghanistan (airing on Discovery Channel). Battle Dogs is the very first television series filmed in Afghanistan and chronicles the heroic work of Royal Marine and ‘CNN Man of the Year’ Pen Farthing, rescuing animals in Kabul while operating the only official vet clinic and shelter in Afghanistan.
“As human beings we possess an innate instinct for exploration and adventure. It’s inherent in our DNA. I realize that tomorrow is not promised and I am on a constant quest for uncommon stories to tell…that next great challenge. The higher the mountain and more arduous the journey – the better.”
